Two beach sheds at the Southend-on-Sea pier.
My master's thesis project was located in the Thames Estuary, which runs from the Thames River out to the North Sea. On a site trip I catalogued the existing architecture, no matter how fine-grain, and gained a soft spot for these quaint structures that speckle the waterside. The pier stretches 1.34 miles into the Thames Estuary, making it the longest pier in the world. It is so long you can ride a small train to the end of it.
